DID YOU KNOW...

Many disabling conditions are invisible. Therefore, every person who is accompanied by a service animal may not "look" disabled.

Over 12,000 people with disabilities use the aid of service animals.  The cost to purchase a trained service animal varies from $8,000 to $18,000.  The average waiting list for charitably donated service animal is 3 to 7 years.

Service dogs are not only guide dogs for the blind, but encompass hearing alert, mobility assistance, seizure alert, autism assistance, anxiety disorders, and many other "hidden" medical disabilities.
